Meet Kandice Rose, LCSW
Owner & Clinical Consultant | Psychotherapist
Kandice Rose is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, clinical consultant, and founder of Rose Psychology & Consulting, where she partners with organizations to strengthen mental health systems, develop effective wellness programming, and support workforce resilience. With extensive experience across healthcare, education, nonprofit, and community-based settings, Kandice brings a strategic, trauma-informed approach to mental health consulting and professional development.
Kandice has over a decade of leadership experience designing and implementing mental health programs, staff training, and therapeutic services. Her work includes developing curricula, facilitating workshops, and providing clinical consultation to multidisciplinary teams, with a strong emphasis on psychological safety, emotional intelligence, and sustainable mental health practices within organizations.
Earlier in her career, Kandice served in key clinical and leadership roles supporting children, adolescents, adults, and seniors across a range of care environments, including acute psychiatric hospitals, medical behavioral health settings, senior living communities, and state-supported programs. She has also collaborated with legal systems and advocacy organizations, providing clinical support, program development, and education around trauma, grief, and crisis response at Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
The Austin Statesman newspaper named Kandice "Mover and Shaker" for her impactful efforts in combating HIV/AIDS within the African-American community. Additionally, after graduating Kandice was selected by the US President Obama Adminstration for the HIV/AIDS task force at the White House in Washington, DC.
Internationally, Kandice served as Director of a psychology department at an international school in Shanghai, China at Tianjabing International School where she developed mental health curricula and led student wellness initiatives—further strengthening her global perspective on mental health education and organizational systems.
In addition to her consulting work, Kandice is the co-founder of Pretty Girls with Cancer™, established in 2013, a nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic programming and mental health support to cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. Through this work, she has led programs in major medical institutions and community settings, integrating mental health care into medical and wellness environments including Texas Children's Hospital, MD Anderson, " Coinz 4 Kids With Cancer" program in multiple schools in Houston surrounding areas.
Kandice specializes in trauma-informed care, depression, anxiety and chronic illness, caregiver stress, and emotional regulation. As a three time cancer survivor, losing her grandmother, mother and brother to cancer. She lived and professional experiences deeply inform her compassionate yet structured approach.
As a consultant and speaker, Kandice is known for her ability to translate complex mental health concepts into practical, actionable strategies for organizations. Kandice was awarded " Top 30 Influential Women of Houston". She works closely with companies, nonprofits, healthcare systems, and leadership teams to design customized trainings, workshops, and wellness initiatives that promote emotional well-being, reduce burnout, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
